Team Oak has now entered another lockdown and we totally respect the government's decision. We have decided not to do a takeaway service and will be busy planning for our re-opening.
Thank you to our wonderful loyal customers who have supported us throughout. Also not forgetting our amazing Team Oak colleagues and superb suppliers.
Please stay safe at home and let's ensure the vaccines take effect. We will keep you updated in our social media platforms and please remember 'THAT TOGETHER WE'RE STRONGER'
Thanks Jules, Hylton, Heather and Chris
To try to keep us all safe, we are doing our best to work within the Government Guidelines and ask you too, please. First, if you feel in anyway ill, or have any symptoms connected to Covid-19 (new, continuous cough, high temperature, or a loss of taste or smell) we ask you to save your visit for another day. Thank you.
It will be table service only, and we’ll ‘meet and greet’ at the main entrance. Floor signs show one metre social distancing. And back-to-back dining. The guidelines also remind customers accompanied by children, that they are responsible for them at all times.
The guidelines also ask us to keep your contact details for 21 days, in case the NHS need these for contact tracing. Please comply. Note, toilets will operate as ‘one in/one out’. Please don’t stand at the bar. If you do go to the bar to order drinks, we will bring them back to your table.
A COVID-19 risk assessment has been done. There are sanitising stations for staff and customers. All staff will wear gloves and face protection, following proper handwashing and hygiene rules. They’ll wipe off the laminated menus for each diner. There’s a protective sneeze screen at the main till and safety blackboard signs throughout. Please pay contactless – cash is not very welcome!
Best wishes to everyone from Jules, Hylton, Heather and Chris
Three real ales are always available – Wye Valley Bitter, Bathams Best and Ledbury Gold – plus one guest beer. We have been featured in the Good Beer Guide from 2009 to present.
We really are dog friendly – that means dogs are welcome to eat with you in the restaurant or stay in the B&B rooms. In fact, you may well see our own dogs around the pub. They came from Dog Watch UK.
